Israeli, Palestinian clashes leave 15 dead

westbankClashes across the occupied Palestinian West Bank are continuing for the second day between protesting Palestinian youths and Israeli security forces.

Israeli soldiers have shot 15 Palestinians with live ammunition after the Palestinians had initially clashed with Israeli settlers.

Israeli forces fired rubber-coated steel bullets, and dozens of others suffered from tear gas inhalation in clashes in Jalazun refugee camp, north of Ramallah, on Saturday.

Clashes broke out after Palestinians tried to stop Israeli settlers from throwing rocks at passing cars on the road between Nablus and Ramallah.

Palestinians threw rocks at settlers in order to prevent their attacks on passing vehicles.

Meanwhile, Palestinian activists made a huge hole in the separation barrier near the village of Al Khader in the West Bank to protest the occupation. – SABC
